Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu is set to become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time in a row and the oath-taking ceremony will be held on June 9, sources said.
With a clear lead in 158 of 175 assembly constituencies, Naidu, 74, is ready to celebrate his landslide victory. He has earlier served the bifurcated state from 1995 to 2004.
Naidu’s TDP faced a terrible defeat against YSR Congress Party in 2019. However, its alliance with the Jana Sena Party (JSP) of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan and the BJP proved to be the game changers in bouncing back as the leader this year.
