The images of Rama Lalla adorned with full dress and precious ornaments has been finally unveiled to the world after Prime Minister Narendra Modi leads the ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ inside Ram temple at Ayodhya on Monday.
Sculpted by Mysore’s Arjun Yogiraj, the idol is 51-inch tall, portraying the five-year-old Rama Lalla. The idol displays innocence, royalty and divinity at its finest.
PM Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Ananadiben Patel offered prayers to the newly-revealed idol inside the temple.
A total of 7,000 VVIPs including personalities from the film industry, sportspersons, politicians and industrialists thronged to Ayodhya to be part of the auspicious grand ceremony.
“The consecration of idol of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya is an extraordinary and emotional moment,” the Prime Minister said after leading the rituals. Modi will now address his speech shortly.
