While ‘Pathaan’ starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan was a smashing hit at the box office last year, Aditya Chopra is all set to bring a sequel of the blockbuster very soon.
It is reportedly said that Shah Rukh Khan will reprise his role as a RAW agent alongside Deepika Padukone for the second part of the movie, which will not be directed by Siddharth Anand anymore.
The PeepingMoon revealed that Aditya Chopra has passed on the directorial agenda to another filmmaker who could bring a fresh perspective to the story. Although plans to finalise a new director for the same is underway, the project is slated to go on the floor by the end of this year.
Notably, even though Siddharth Anand is not directing ‘Pathaan 2’, this does not mark the end of his partnership with Yash Raj Films as he will be back with Tiger Vs Pathaan.
‘Pathaan’, that starred John Abraham in the lead role, received an overwhelming response from the audience nationwide and earned a whooping Rs 1000 crores at the box office.
