Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Parakram Diwas on Tuesday at Delhi’s Red Fort to observe the 127th birthday of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Parakram Diwas, also known as ‘Day of Valour’ or the ‘Day of Courage’ is a remarkable way to remember Netaji’s unwavering heroism to liberate India from the hands of British rulers.
The Centre, in 2021, formally proposed the idea of commemorating January 23rd as Parakram Diwas every year to pay tribute to the freedom fighter who fought bravely for India’s independence.
PM Modi will inaugurate the cultural event today evening that also has a blend of historical reflections to mark Parakram Diwas will continue till January 31.
Some Indian states hold public holiday on January 23 to remember Netaji for his relentless courage and will power. He was the true son of his motherland, a patriot, an exceptional leader and an intellectual and a socialist whose untiring efforts have earned him the respectable title ‘Netaji’ and will continue to inspire generations after generations.
