The Indian National Cricket Team, that got stuck in Barbados since Saturday due to Hurricane Beryl, finally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday at his residence in Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi at 11 am.
PM Modi congratulated the World Cup-winning "Men in Blue" as they met for breakfast and had light-hearted conversation as they were reminiscing the world Cup triumph.
Head coach Rahul Dravid and other players, including Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, among others also interacted with the national leader.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny also attended the breakfast meeting with the team.
India"s cricket team heroes along with the BCCI officials, including Jay Shah landed in the national capital on Thursday morning from Barbados. Upon their arrival at the airport, the players received a grand welcome as thousands of fans gathered to get a glimpse of the champions and the T20 World Cup trophy.
