If you are wondering of heavy rainfall anytime soon in south Bengal, you are probably making a mistake. Heatwave conditions are likely to dominate several districts of south Bengal, including West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, West Burdwan till Saturday.
Also, Purulia may experience heat wave flow for the next two days. Meanwhile, Kolkata residents are literally boiling in insanely warm weather accompanied by high humidity levels. However, the city is expected to receive rainfall from Tuesday as the monsoon is said to enter in the next four to five days.
On the other hand, north Bengal districts are getting drenched in heavy rainfall. According to the weather office, such weather conditions are likely to prevail in the hilly areas of Jalpaiguri district of Alipurduar and Cooch Behar and also in Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
